Responsibilities:
- Scrum Facilitation:
- Act as a servant-leader for the Agile team, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Product Backlog Management:
- Work closely with the Product Owner to groom and prioritize the product backlog.
- Ensure that user stories are well-defined, estimated, and ready for inclusion in the Sprint.
- Team Empowerment:
- Empower the team to self-organize and make decisions, removing obstacles to progress.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and foster innovation within the team.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Facilitate communication within the team and with external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Agile teams to enhance overall organizational agility.
- Metrics and Reporting:
- Track and report key Agile metrics, such as velocity, burndown charts, and team performance.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on Agile metrics.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and address risks and impediments that may impact the team’s ability to deliver.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- years of experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile development environment.
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, values, and practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Rally).
- Knowledge of other Agile methodologies (Kanban, XP) is a plus.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
