Role and Responsibilities:

• Cohesity Solution Design:Design and architect backup and data management solutions using Cohesity technology. Analyze the organization’s data protection needs and develop strategies to meet them efficiently.
• Implementation and Configuration:Deploy and configure Cohesity backup systems, ensuring they are optimized for the organization’s specific requirements.
• Policy Development: Create and manage backup and retention policies within the Cohesity platform to automate data protection tasks. Define data retention and archiving policies according to business needs and compliance requirements.
• Data Replication and Disaster Recovery: Configure data replication within Cohesity to create data redundancy and implement disaster recovery capabilities. Ensure data is protected and recoverable in case of system failures or disasters.
• Data Mobility: Leverage Cohesity’s data mobility features to facilitate the movement of data between different storage systems and locations.
• Integration with Other Technologies: Integrate Cohesity with other components of the IT infrastructure, such as storage systems, virtualization platforms, and cloud services, to create a comprehensive data management and protection solution.
• Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor the performance of Cohesity systems, optimize configurations, and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Communication Skills:Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders, facilitate discussions, and present ideas clearly and concisely.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of Cohesity configurations and backup policies. Generate regular reports to track system health, backup success rates, and storage efficiency.
• Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices to protect data stored in Cohesity systems. Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards.Ensure the security of stored data through encryption, access controls, and user authentication.
• Training and Knowledge Sharing: Provide training to IT staff and end-users on the use of Cohesity backup solutions. Share expertise and best practices to enhance the team’s understanding of Cohesity technology.
• Vendor Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with Cohesity and stay updated on their product offerings, updates, and roadmap.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical problems related to Cohesity backup solutions promptly. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address issues.
• Capacity Planning: Plan for future storage needs and scalability requirements based on data growth trends and the organization’s evolving needs.
• Professional Development: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data protection and backup solutions and consider certifications and training to enhance expertise.
• Data Lifecycle Management:Define data retention policies and oversee the deletion or archiving of data as required by legal and regulatory requirements.Create backup and retention policies within Cohesity to automate data protection tasks.Integrate Cohesity with existing storage and virtualization systems to provide comprehensive data management and protection.

• Qualification / Skills Required:

1. 6+ years’ experience supporting backup solution using Cohesity in a highly available, fault-tolerant enterprise environment.
2. In-depth knowledge of backup and recovery concepts, strategies, and best practices, particularly with regard to Cohesity’s technology.
3. Prior experience with any backup solution is a plus.
4. A deep understanding of Cohesity backup and data management solutions, including installation, configuration, and administration.
5. Proficiency in utilizing Cohesity’s data mobility features to facilitate data movement and data tiering.
6. Experience with Cohesity clusters would be a huge plus.
7. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to automate tasks and optimize Cohesity backup workflows.
8. Good understanding of ITIL processes, especially Incident & Change management.
