Qualifications

•3+ years (ideally 5-10 years) of professional work experience in QA

•At least 1 year of QA experience within the fintech space

•At least some of your recent experience at a startup with <100 employees within a QA function

•The ability to work in an environment that is 100% remote (if not in NYC) with a lot of independence and autonomy

Responsibilities

•This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small team, work cross-functionally with the Product and GTM teams, and have the opportunity to grow the QA function as the company scales

•In this role, you will have ownership and responsibility of the entire QA function which includes conducting manual QA reviews, onboarding new tools to improve efficiency, and serving as the release manager

•As a hands-on QA professional, you will focus on supporting the delivery of high quality products that are robust, scale to meet customer growth, and focused on the customer experience

•Additionally, while this is mostly a hands-on QA position, you might find the opportunity to also flex your strategic muscle building in QA automations and positioning yourself to lead the QA function as the company scales

•Review both business and technical requirements for SaaS application to ensure that they are clear, complete, and testable

•Be responsible for test planning for new and existing software applications

•Test advanced fintech processes embedded within our B2B SaaS application

•Ensure that our data pipelines are working properly with the highest level of data quality

•Ensure that standards for development and quality are defined and tracked accordingly

•Cover all types of testing needed to ensure a high-quality application, including (but not limited to): feature/functionality, deployment, configuration, performance, integration, and usability

•Track coverage, progress, and result of testing in software application lifecycle management tool

•Develop and support any external tools to enable efficient, rapid, repeatable, and reportable test execution

•Automate test scenarios with goals to reduce the time and cost of testing over the lifecycle of the application, and to improve test coverage/depth

•Be the release manager which includes working closely with Product Lead and the development team on tracking quality of application (readiness for release) to ensure that issues are found/fixed in an expedited manner

•Monitor software quality issues that are detected after release, triage issues, and work with development team to expedite fixes

•Be Accountable – Be true to yourself, to your team and to your customers
