Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer/Manager for Application Support to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance for our applications, ensuring their smooth operation and performance. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and assistance for our applications, addressing and resolving user issues and concerns in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot application-related problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor application performance and reliability, proactively identify potential issues, and take appropriate actions to maintain optimal performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to escalate and prioritize bugs, issues, and enhancement requests.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles, to assist users and support teams.
- Participate in the deployment and testing of application updates, patches, and enhancements.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including users, developers, project managers, and management, to ensure alignment and timely resolution of issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to application support and troubleshooting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 8 to 14 years of experience in application support or related roles.
- Strong technical skills and experience with troubleshooting application issues in a production environment.
- Proficiency in scripting languages and tools for automation and monitoring.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with users and technical teams.
- Experience with IT service management tools and processes (e.g., ITIL).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Experience with cloud-based technologies and platforms is a plus.
