Job Description :-

Role and Responsibilities:

  1. System Administration:
    • Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Linux servers.
    • Monitor system performance and ensure optimal uptime and availability.
    • Perform regular system updates and security patches.
  2. Troubleshooting and Support:
    • Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for Linux-based systems.
    • Resolve hardware and software issues promptly to minimize downtime.
    • Manage and resolve incidents and service requests within SLAs.
  3. Security Management:
    • Implement and manage security policies to safeguard systems against vulnerabilities.
    • Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
    • Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and policies.
  4. System Optimization:
    • Analyze system performance and implement necessary optimizations.
    • Manage and tune system resources, including CPU, memory, and storage.
    • Implement and maintain performance monitoring tools and scripts.
  5. Backup and Recovery:
    • Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for critical systems.
    • Perform regular backups and test recovery procedures.
    • Ensure data integrity and availability through effective backup management.
  6. Automation and Scripting:
    • Develop and maintain automation scripts for system administration tasks.
    • Utilize scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl to streamline processes.
    • Implement and manage configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet.
  7. Collaboration and Documentation:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployment and maintenance.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies.
    • Provide training and support to junior administrators and other team members.
  8. Capacity Planning:
    • Monitor system capacity and plan for future growth and scalability.
    • Implement strategies to ensure efficient use of system resources.
    • Provide recommendations for hardware and software upgrades.
  9. Incident and Change Management:
    • Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
    • Manage and document changes to the environment in accordance with change management procedures.
    • Ensure minimal disruption to services during changes and updates.


  • Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting and automation tools.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or KVM.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
